Friday Happiness : Down To Mars

Another happy Friday with Down To Mars. Heaps of thank you to Daisuke, Jang, Jeongwon, Kenji, Kiro and Yheen (to Ms. G as well) for the time.

It is always a pleasure seeing these gents at the end of work week to de-stress and to begin the weekend with a wonderful smile and thought that I have seen and spent time laughing with them.

Now sharing with you here photo of them with four (or five?)  sporting new hair.  Can you guess who amongst the members have new fringe? Answer below ^_^

Jang (check), Kiro (not sure forgot to ask), Daisuke (check),
Yheen (check), Jeongwon, & Kenji (check) are all sporting  new do.

Charming chaps. Funny blokes. Cute dudes. Handsome fellows.  Talented lads. These guys are happiness.

Alright, with that, do not forget to catch Down To Mars this coming Sunday in Party Pilipinas  With Honors (#PPWithHonors).  They will have two production numbers one of which is 'Crayon' by Big Bang's GDragon as they announced on Twitter.

Down To Mars in Party Pilipinas Summer Shake

I was looking forward to today's Party Pilipinas Summer Shake where Down To Mars was supposed to have two production numbers which I mentioned in my previous post.  But due to their schedule,  Down To Mars' second production number was cancelled.  After the opening, they have to rush to Robinson's Pulilan, Bulacan for another show.

On today's stage Down To Mars together with Jannon Gibbs performed The Wanted's 'Chasing The Sun'.  With Janno Gibbs members, Daisuke, Jang, Jeongwon, Kenji, Kiro and Yheen seems to be really having fun and enjoying their performance on stage.

Check out the video below.  Fast forward to 5:16 mark. Enjoy!

Cute that it makes you want to shout for 'More, more, more!', right?  Sigh... it's always been like that whenever they perform.  I really wish I was inside the studio to take photos and video of them especially when they were on the ledge. Anyway, thanks to the camera crew for again another nice panning.

Btw, on my wishlist (which is so long already) for Down To Mars, I hope that one Sunday they will be given a chance to perform on Party Pilipinas LIVE NOW.  I will continue to cross my fingers, toes and everything there is to cross that someday this will happen.  And if does, I will be one those happiest and promise to be watching live. ^^

Friday with Down To Mars

It was wonderful seeing Daisuke, Jang, Jeongwon, Kenji, Kiro and Yheen once again.  It has been weeks since I last saw them and I am quite surprised that the guys developed some muscles over several weeks. ^^  I guess their frequent trips to Gold's Gym are doing them great. Oh yeah, all of them are looking tall and good as always.

Now, sharing with you here some photos of  Down To Mars as they feast on their pizzas and chocolate chips cookies after their recording.

After filling their tummies with pizzas, they went annex for their dance rehearsals. But before leaving them Carol took this opportunity to snap some individual shots of them.

Jang looking like as cute li'l boy on his get up
Glad to see him gaining some weight and muscles..

Jeongwon wearing his bowl hat once again.
Btw, this guy made me laugh a lot.
Can't tell whether he has put on some muscles but
I noticed that he gained some weight.

Kenji with his charming smile.Hee, really can't tell
if Kenji has put on more muscles with his jacket.

A now buffed Daisuke.  I am quite surprised to see his shoulders,
arms and chest well formed.

The usual quiet cute Kiro. This chap need not to build more muscles.
I guess he only has to maintain them.

Yheen looking good on is shirt.  Like Daisuke he seems to be
working hard to build muscles on his arms,
chest and shoulders. Hmm, I wonder if he is already ripped.

And of course group photos. ^_^

Thanks again guys for giving some of your time.  Had another wonderful time chatting and laughing with you.  You charmed me once again. It was indeed a happy Friday.

Btw, do not fail to watch Party Pilipinas this coming Sunday as Down To Mars will have two production numbers. Finally, after two weeks of not hearing them sing, they will sing and dance as well. Let us all anticipate, alright?

Oh, and after Party Pilipinas, those from Pulilan, Bulacan and other nearby provinces, check out Down To Mars as they grace Robinson's to charm their fans and give them some entertainment.

Down To Mars in Party Pilipinas Palaban

Down To Mars were in two production numbers in today's Party Pilipinas Palaban and in these numbers the members rocked the stage by showing off their dancing skills.

For their first stage, here is the lively performance of Down To Mars at the opening of the program. Fast forward to 19:59.

Next is their segment in Sayaw Pilipinas. Here is the video of the cool jerking dance by Down To Mars. Move to 17:55.

Down To Mars was able to bring their own flair jerking on stage.  Their leg movements and foot works are very detailed.

It is amazing how much Down To Mars developed not only in their singing but as well as in their dancing. They have much confidence now in each of their performances and they pretty much look comfortable performing. I like it much that they are so damn charismatic on stage (off stage as well).

It has been a while since we last heard them sing in Party Pilipinas.  I hope that next week they will not only dance but showcase as well their singing.

“I saw them perform as volunteers at the 100 Million Volunteer Run on Feb. 12 and I was impressed by the crowd’s overwhelming reception to them,” says Dick Gordon. “Unlike other carefree youngsters, I admire them for having a cause and their spirit of volunteerism to be part of PRC. They’re good role models to the youth in our very challenging world today. We will help promote each other’s activities. I plan to bring them to a convention in Australia where there will be 10,000 representatives from all over the world. I want them to perform there. I see great things ahead for these young people who all have wholesome personalities.”

What can Down to Mars say about this? “We’re so honored to be ambassadors of the PRC,” they say. “It’s really been our dream na makatulong sa kapwa nang walang hinihintay na kapalit. Kahit galing iba-ibang nasyon kami na may Chinese, Japanese at Korean blood, pero deep within our hearts, lahat kami, mga Pilipino. We’re even excited to donate our blood for the Red Cross.”

“The Red Cross is not just for blood donation,” adds Dick Gordon. “It’s a full service organization. We can also train them to do first AID and CPR, and even help out during disaster relief operations.”

As a boyband, Down To Mars is alone in the Interpop music group brand, which it earned by virtue of the fact that its members have interracial roots. Created and managed by Geleen Eugenio, Down To Mars is gaining grounds in the local music scene on a fast mode. Their self-titled debut album is a hit, with their song "Nandito Lang Ako" used as a theme song for the GMA-7 Koreanovela “Smile Dong Hae”. Distributed by Polyeast Records, the album boasts tracks such as the lead single “My Everything", “Oh! Oh! Here We Are," “Fly"and Fool’s Paradise."

In their Facebook page, they say they call themselves as Down To Mars because "Down" serves as their constant reminder to stay humble while "Mars" means for them a world that is “unique and different." The members are Kenji Chua, Jang Seung Ri, Daisuke Hagihara, Yheen Valero, Kiro Rivera, Sky Young, and Jeongwon Song, regularly seen Sundays in Party Pilipinas. Down To Mars was also picked as celebrity endorser of Chef Noodle, the latest Korean franchise conquering the local food industry.

Down To Mars in Party Pilipinas Orig

On February 24 episode of Party Pilipinas Orig, good dancing and good news was brought to us by Down To Mars.

Let me start off first with the good dancing.

In today's episode of Party Pilipinas, Down To Mars was in Saway Pilipinas segment with Sef Cadayona. They danced to Legit Misfitz's 'Jabongga' in which Sef choreographed himself.

And the good news is...

After Saway Pilipinas, it was announced by Tim Yap that Down To Mars is the newest Ambassador of Red Cross (Philippines). Members went up on the satellite stage to be congratulated though I wish that the hosts gave them a chance to talk.

Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS TO DOWN TO MARS for being the newest Ambassador of Red Cross Philippines! Last year it was Marian Rivera and in 2010 it was Angel Locsin.

Here is the portion of Saway Pilipinas in today's Party Pilipinas. Check out Down To Mars starting at mark 4:19.

It is another one of those performances in which you would ask for more, right?

Tomorrow Down To Mars will be officially appointed as Ambassador of Red Cross Philippines. With this Down To Mars will be busy spreading the advocacy of Red Cross (http://www.redcross.org.ph/) as well as volunteering in the  humanitarian activities  of the organization.

And just for our pleasure, here is the closing (all star) of today's Party Pilipinas wherein DTM was also in it. Fast forward to 42:28... and I hear a familiar singing voice.
