Down To Mars in "I Write The Songs…Ogie Alcasid LIVE!" 08.16.2013

This is a blog post that's been a week overdue.  Phone at home got busted and internet connection got affected.  Anyway, it is such a waste of effort if these photos and few behind the scenes will not be shared.

Lady luck must be sitting on my shoulder that I got invited to attend the 25th anniversary celebration concert of singer and song writer Ogie Alcasid entitled "I Write The Songs…Ogie Alcasid LIVE!" that happened last 16th of August at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The concert was jam packed and it was a pretty good concert with a lot of stars that came to perform and give honor to Ogie Alcasid's songs. Guests such as Regine Velasquez, Janno Gibbs, Jaya, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Gary Valenciano, Pops Fernandez,  Randy Santiago, Rachel Alejandro, La Diva, Anne Curtis, Daniel Padilla, Tom Rodriguez, Dennis Trillo, Gloc 9, Solenn Heussaff, Down To Mars and more came.

Down To Mars addition to the concert was last minute as Ogie Alcasid wanted to perform 'Tim Sung Ku' with the group as the peg of the song is kind of KPop/JPop tune.

For Down To Mars to be invited by the one and only Ogie Alcasid, to perform in MOA Arena on his 25th anniversary concert and to be included as one of the guests in the star-studded concert is already quite an honor.

As mentioned a while ago, Ogie Alcasid together with Down To Mars, performed 'Tim Sung Ku'. This funny song was originally sang by Regine Velasquez for the 14th anniversary of the longest running comedy show in the Philippines, 'Bubble Gang', was performed during the 6th segment of the concert.  Ogie and DTM's performance was cute.  The dance choreo even had the signature dance of Ogie Alcasid toward the end of their performance (see video below).

I am going to share now photos from the concert for everyone's indulgence.  I am about 50 to 100 meter away from the stage and have tried my best to capture their performance. Hope you will like these photos from this shutterbug. ^_^

Have to shove here this video of the performance of Ogie Alcasid and Down To Mars.  Check out the funny lyrics and the signature dance of Ogie Alcasid towards the end of the video.

That's all for the cute performance of Ogie Alcasid and Down To Mars at the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the singer and song writer.

Down To Mars members, Daisuke, Jang, Jeongwon, Kenji and Yheen were so grateful and honored for the opportunity that was given to them by Ogie Alcasid. As one member even told me, Ogie Alcasid inspire him to do well.

With that, let me know share with you some behind the scene photos before the concert started.

Following are photos of Down To Mars few minutes before the concert started.

Next are photos of the members with St Paul's College Pasig high school students who performed with Ogie Alcasid and Daniel Padilla.

One of the girls in the photo was at the KPopFest where Down To Mars performed 'Baby Don't Cry' by EXO. She told the members that she and her friends were so amazed with DTM's performance of the song. ^_^

Here are more treats!

While waiting for the concert to start, aside from singing and recording their  funny version of  'Banana Song', inside the dugout that serves as their dressing room, Down To Mars members were doing selfie, rehearsing songs, practicing dance steps, listening to music and from time to time just chilling. Here are stolen shots from the moments that I mentioned.

Coming up next, is a blog post where I will be showcasing photos (different profile) of Daisuke, Jang, Jeongwon, Kenji and Yheen wearing their Victorian inspired costume by Julius Tarog. Check it out later.
