Down To Mars in Party Pilipinas Lucky Lucky

As I tweeted earlier, I am glad that I waited for Down To Mars' segment in Rhythm N Boys before I went out in the afternoon. It was worth the wait.

But before you go and listen to Rhythm N Boys rendition of Boyz II Men 'I Miss You' check out the first production number of Down To Mars in Party Pilipinas Lucky Lucky.

Fast forward to 8:43 to start with Down To Mars' portion.

Now comes the part that I really waited for in today's show.

I think this one goes on top of the list for me in all of Rhythm N Boys performances.

According to the members last Friday, the song given to them to perform is very difficult. True enough even their coach said that the song 'I Miss You' by Boyz II Men is not an easy song to perform.Yet Rhythm N Boys especially Down To Mars pulled it off really well.

Go and check the hair raising live performance of Rhythm N Boys in the video below.

The vid quality plays at 360p, change it to 480p or 720pHD for a much better quality.

Clap! Clap! Clap!  I am soooooo proud of Down To Mars!

Geez, and that performance is despite of the late tech rehearsals, early call time not to mention almost 8 hours of singing/recording last Friday. Whew!

One thing good about Down To Mars is that every time they come up with a new performance they  make sure that the quality that they give in each of their performance goes up to the next level. It shows how serious they are in their craft.

I asked the members who picks the song that they are to perform in Party Pilipinas.  According to them Party Pilipinas prod assign which song/s to sing. In which in today's show they were given a difficult one.  I then told Kiro that the fact that Party P gave 'I Miss You' to them to sing means that the production is confident that they can do it. I believe that it is already an honor to sing such difficulty song together with artists like Gian Magdangal, Mark Bautista and Kris Lawrence.

Last Friday, I had a chance to hear how their coach praise Down To Mars.  According to him they have improved a lot.  I have always said that Down To Mars' harmony is pretty good but hearing their coach saying that Down To Mars' harmony is a lot better than before is something. From the way I see and hear it last Friday, he seems to be so proud of Down To Mars.  Of course  hearing all the praises from the coach himself, gave a big smile on my face.

Again, congratulations Down To Mars! Keep up the good work. You are getting there.

With Daisuke, Kiro, Yheen & Jeongwon.
Jang & Kenji were recording when this was taken.

Btw, PinoyTVadik for the upload.

Down To Mars in 97.1 LSFM 01.10.2013

Ei, this post is two days overdue. Anyway...

Down To Mars members were the guests of Mamabelle (@mamabelle971LS) on her radio program Sikat Sa Barangay last Thursday. Of course I did not miss listening  as I know it will be a blast listening to Daisuke, Jang, Jeongwon, Kenji, Kiro and Yheen. Though I wish that the one hour show would only have them answering to questions, listening to their songs and listening as well to their live singing.  But I guess this will have to remain on my wish list in which I am crossing my fingers and toes that soon it will happen.

The show started off with each member introducing themselves. Then DJ Mamabelle talked to them about the latest dance craze that they have been promoting which is called 'oh oh dance craze'.  In the show, members also sang live few liners from 'Oh, Oh Here We Are' which of course is so pleasing to hear.  Then Mamabelle asked Yheen to also rap (i like!). Honestly, I wish I was home when they were interviewed.  I could have recorded and shared the audio here but I was not home then.    Oh well, probably next time.

In the radio program, Down To Mars' Tita Geleen was also in the show.  She was the one who is behind the 'oh oh dance craze'. According to her, it started when GMA asked her to choreograph a dance that will be a craze in 2013.  And since she said that she already has something in mind, she did the 'oh oh dance craze' using of course Down To Mars' own song 'Oh, Oh Here We Are' which was first introduced in GMA TV New Year Countdown.

Then she was asked who amongst the members who dances 'oh oh dance craze' well.  Ms. Geleen said that Jeongwon does the 'oh oh' so well.  Do you agree? And the most difficult to teach?  Ms. G said it's Kiro. But hey, Kiro dances 'oh oh' cutely too. Anyway, you be the judge who among the members who dances the 'oh oh dance craze' well by watching HERE and HERE again.

The program ended with the members inviting fans to purchase their Down To Mars self titled album and promoting their regional tours.

Just by that the  45 minutes that Down To Mars was in the show went by so fast.  Really wish that there would be more.

Anyway, just before Down To Mars went on air, my friend saw them and she gave me another pleasant surprise that day.

Sharing with you here, photos of Down To Mars members while waiting for the show to go on air.

Below is a video greeting of the members for the Solid Down To Mars and yours truly ^^. As always, they are the cutest when they are wacky. So check this video out.

With this let me thank my friend for doing the extra mile and surprising me once again. Of course really a HUGE thanks to Down To Mars for accommodating her.

Honestly, when I started blogging about Down To Mars I have some hesitations because I might not have enough materials to use to write about them. But because I like the group and I am someone who is very passionate when it comes to blogging I am able to find myself earnestly doing this (hee, even uploading videos of from the shows they are guesting).  Just like what I am doing to my Kpop idols and the same thing as what my other international fan friends are doing to their idols. I believe that by doing this, I am able to reach to fans who would want to know about Down ToMars more.

Down To Mars is relatively new. There are not that many press releases and video sharing in YouTube are not that many. With the rapid distribution via internet, I hope that my blog and vids will be shared and visited more.

Just so that my blog visitors will have an appreciation of the type of audience I have in this blog, here is a screencap of audience last January 1

And this is after two weeks.

I can say not bad for a two month blog.

For those who re-tweeted the links that I shared on Twitter and  YouTube and those who shared them on Facebook, thank you.  SNS or social networking sites are big help. By just one click on  'tweet' or 'share' you are able to share a link to the world.

Alright, before I end this post, let me remind everyone to NOT forget to watch Down To Mars in Party Pilipinas Lucky Lucky.

Rhythm N Boys segment wherein they are part of it is something to look forward too.  They will be singing a very beautiful yet difficult song.  But kudos to Down To Mars they did well yesterday.

Down To Mars in GMA News TV iJuander

Last week, Down To Mars recorded their guesting in last night's episode of GMA News TV iJuander hosted by Susan Enriquez and Cesar Apolinario.

In last night's episode, the show's topic is about how one's new year's resolution will be fulfilled.

In the case of Down To Mars, as they have all confessed being addicted to game playing,  they want to stop   (or shall we say they want to moderate? ^^) playing Defense of the Ancient or DOTA.

To fight against this 'bad habit' of being addicted to the game, the group instead is putting their time rehearsing their craft.   To show how they do it, Down To Mars showed in the show their latest dance craze called 'ohoh dance craze' using their own song 'Oh, Oh Here We Are'.

Here is the cut of Down To Mars' segment in iJuander. This video is more than  two minutes long. Check it out.

Set the vid to 480p for better quality.

The segment is quite short, right? Hee, and I am sure you've seen the error in tagging Daisuke and Yheen. And the wrong spelling in Jeongwon's name. ^^  How I wish it's longer and that the other members were given a chance to talk.  Anyway, it's better that not seeing them being featured, right?

Thanks to iJuander for having Down To Mars in their show.

Btw, their guesting in the show, made the hashtag #DownToMarsOniJuander in the Twitter  trending list last night.  See how collective effort can do?  For so long there is determination and unity, it can happen, right.

With this, let me inject that I always believe that  'free promotional activities' done by fans is a very effective way to let their idol/s be known. With the use of internet, rapid distribution of information about Down To Mars would be the best to promote the group.  To be honest, free promotional activities by fans  made me a fan of the fans of my Kpop idols. And this brought me to blogging not only about Down To Mars but as well as KPop (been blogging about KPop for  years now prior to blogging about K actors that I like).

Alright, now let me segue to this  ^_^  (can't think how to end this post)...

If you like the 'Oh, Oh Here We Are',  grab a copy of Down To Mars self titled album 'DOWN TO MARS' under PolyEast in record bar nearest you. For me, listening to it is worth every peso I spent in buying the CD.

Down To Mars in Party Pilipinas Stronger

I have always been looking forward to Down To Mars' performance in Party Pilipinas. But since knowing that they will be dancing AND singing live 'Oh Oh Here We Are', there is this extra excitement to watch today's show.

In today's Party Pilipinas Stronger, Down To Mars had two production numbers. First they were at the opening number dancing with Kris Bernal. Their last production number was towards the end of the show where they danced and sang  'Oh, Oh Here We Are' live though not the full version.

Here is clip of Down To Mars' opening with Kris Bernal.  Move the time to 6:04 is you wish.

Can't say much because camera panning is quite far and the production number is only about 30 seconds short..

Note  : Please change quality of the videos you will watch to 360p for better viewing.

For 'Oh, Oh, Here We Are' stage here is the video.  Though not HQ in quality, it is still nice to watch the replay of Down To Mars' performance.

Fast forward to 3:25 mark to see DTM in their performance.

Really nice production number right? 'Oh, Oh Here We Are' song and dance have infectious hook. The dance steps is just like 'Gangnam Style' that is easy (but tiring) and addicting.

Down To Mars' vocal harmonies blend really well which makes the group nice to listen to singing live. The song  'Oh Oh Here We Are' constantly shifts between rapping and singing, with both being done so well. I particularly like Yheen's rapping today, he stands out on stage when he did his  part. Yheen, pulled it off really well. We get to hear his lower vocal register much longer in this song. Good job Yheen!

The solo parts of the other members are pretty good too.  Though Kenji had  little difficulty towards the end of his solo singing parts, Down To Mars' performance is still awesome for a live singing with dance steps that made the members catch their breath after their performance. Hee, I still have to hear Kiro singing though.

Btw, since the members are young it is not difficult to notice that they are in good physical shape. Otherwise with that kind of singing and dancing,  all we would hear in their performance from the beginning will be their breath.  Down To Mars' constant dancing and singing rehearsals are  significant cardiovascular workout for the members.

Down To Mars' production stage today is very much interesting. As always, whenever Down To Mars is on stage they always give their best. The snappiness and almost perfect routines will make you proud of them. Their style and impressive live stages are already getting stronger than other acts (mediocre) in the show. After listening and watching their performance today of 'Oh Oh Here We Are', you get the feeling that this talented group has a lot more to show us in 2013.

Thumbs up on today's show Down To Mars!

P.S.  Thanks to kapusong totoo for all the vids

Down To Mars' Video New Year Message to Marsians

Today, I got a pleasant surprise from a friend. Really super heaps of thanks! Actually this is not only a surprise for me but as well as for all fans of Down To Mars.

As everyone knows, today, Down To Mars had a very busy day filming their second music video under the sun. Yes, 'Oh, Oh Here We Are' MV will be out next week and everybody must look forward to it. But, despite their busy schedule, members were able to give their New Year greetings to all their fans.

I have compiled in one video all the members greeting as well as uploaded in Lizzy Crazee YouTube channel their individual greetings in their wife beater (sleeveless shirt, except for two ^^).   Notice that they tanned a bit because of the filming. Also, though tired and lacking in sleep they still all look good, right?

Btw, with just one request to give their New Year's message to Marsians, Down To Mars readily agreed to it.  Now, here's the video...

Note : For high quality video, change quality to 1080p

Here's their individual greetings...

The first video of Jeongwon is so cute that
I have to watch it over and over again.
This vid is already take 2. ^_^

Loads of thanks Down To Mars for these greetings.  2013 will go a great year for you.  Seize 2013!

Aside from this surprise, I also got another one from Daisuke, Jeongwon and Jang.  Much thanks again for the time.  I know you were all busy after the filming but you still agreed to my friend's favor.  I really really appreciate it.  I already owe you lots.

Oh, do not forget to watch Party Pilipinas this coming Sunday and look forward to their 'Oh, Oh Here We Are' MV as well as their billboard next week.

[Video] Down To Mars Cut Perf in GMA New Year Countdown

'Oh, Oh Here We Are' so catchy that it keeps on playing in my head.

♪♪ Oh oh ┌(∵)┘ Oh oh ♪└(∵)┐Here ♪┌(∵)┘ We ♪└(∵)┐ Are ♪♪...

Heck, what can I do? I have been editing the video of Down To Mars from  their Win Na Win Sa 2013 The GMA Year End Countdown performance which a friend recorded for me and only just got today. ^^

Hey, are your cute little fingers tired of fast forwarding and getting the right mark just to watch Down To Mars 'Gangnam Style' and 'Oh, Oh Here We Are' performances over and over again in the videos that I shared HERE yesterday? Hee, not need for your cute little fingers to do the work as I have compiled, edited and uploaded in YouTube Down To Mars' performances from GMA Year End Countdown.

The video is is only 11 minutes long but I have to apologize for the not so good quality. I tried editing more but really cannot do anything about it. But if you watch it in smaller screen, you will get very good viewing result. So try watching it in any smart phone is you have.

Here is the compiled video for your viewing pleasure. ^_^

And in case you only want to see 'Oh, Oh Here We Are' performance of Down To Mars, then check this video.

[Videos] Down To Mars in GMA New Year Countdown

I am so proud of Down To Mars when I saw them in Win na Win sa 2013: The GMA New Year Countdown.  They sang, danced and even introduced a new dance craze using  their own song!

Alright, I won't keep you long, I just found the links where to watch Down To Mars in last night's GMA countdown. Super heaps of thanks to the uploader.

In this first clip you will see Down To Mars strutting the stage at 2:36 to 2:52 at the beginning of the show.

Btw, set quality of video to 360p for better quality viewing.

Did you hear the loud cheering when they came out?

Next clip is when Down To Mars and Janno Gibbs brought the whole Mall of Asia crowd to dance to 'Gangnam Style'. Fast forward to 3:49 is you wish to see them right away.

Hee, Kenji seems to be lost in the dance step at the beginning and Jeongwong noticed it. ^^ And hey! Check out Daisuke singing few liners of 'Gangnam Style'.

The surprise of the countdown for many of the viewers is the introduction of the new dance craze (chest thrusting and leg kicking) to the music of Down to Mars' 'O, Oh Here We Are'. The dance is so simple (cardio dancexercise ... whew! )  and of course the song is very much catchy.

I am so proud of Down To Mars when I saw this on TV. I like it much!

Fast forward to 11:14 to view and try out the new dance craze.

Btw, the lyrics and music of 'O, Oh Here We Are' is by Kenji, Jang and Jeongwon.

And for the finale, the countdown ended with 'O, Oh Here We Are' with all the stars again on stage. Check out until the credits where some staff and crew of the show also are dancing to the new dance craze.

Start at 9:37 mark is you wish.

So nice, right?  It feels so good watching them on TV doing what they really like to do best.

After seeing them in the countdown, all I have are good vibes for them in 2013.

Cheers to you, Down To Mars!
